Both series feature pull-you-under romances right alongside community and family drama. And you’ll get to see characters from previous books show up in their own storylines. In the Chesapeake Diaries, I was so excited to see Dallas get her own story. In Breathless, readers were ready for Jane and Charlie! There are long awaited character arcs and satisfying happily-ever-afters when those stories arrive. Both series feature the best of small town romance without diving into obnoxious busybodies or having cats that solve mysteries. ha. The stories and arcs are complex and absolutely fullfilling!

Characters return home to rebuild their lives, confront the past, and obviously find unexpected love along the way. The series is also known for its interconnected cast, giving the small town of St. Dennis the feel of a living, breathing community.
