Do you listen to audiobooks while you do common household chores? Maybe you’re listening to podcasts, but you could be getting deep into some steamy romance.
Personally, I listen while driving. Any time I’m traveling by myself, I have an audiobook queued up and ready!

Most indie authors are paying for human narration audiobooks out of our own pockets. This is–at best–a multi thousand dollar expense and a gamble. We then have to do the work to sell those audiobooks.
If you follow me on YouTube you’ll get an email once every few weeks when a new full-length audiobook releases. That’s it. So if you were thinking, eh, I don’t like the AI voices but I would love for Savvy to do human narration, then go follow me! You’ll be helping to make it happen, and I’m getting close already. *Look, if you’ve been following along, then you’ve probably figured out I’m not a fan of AI. I don’t like AI written books and I don’t like AI art. However, in the case of audiobooks, I see this as an accessibility issue. People who can’t read for any variety of reasons shouldn’t have limited libraries! Given the expense of human narration (see above, ugh) it’s often prohibitive. No side-eyes to the narrators, though, they need to get paid for the work they do. This feels like a good halfway step. The AI voices aren’t as good as human. But they are good and getting better. I enjoy listening. And, to offset the AI use, I want to use the proceeds to get human narrators! That’s the goal. I want it to be win-win-win. I also tithe monthly to charities that help offset the damage AI is doing to the environment. For real. I do. Also also, places like Amazon are making AI narrated books out of every book uploaded, without our permission. They just tell us they did it! sigh.
